On 1 November 2025, the Delhi government will host a major public celebration at the Red Fort to mark the foundation day of Delhi, popularly called “Delhi Day” — alongside the foundation days of nine other states.
The event is intended to be much more than a routine observance — it aims to be a vibrant showcase of India’s cultural and culinary diversity, anchored in the national themes of unity and people-centric governance.
What To Expect:
1. A food festival featuring food stalls from Delhi and the eight leading states whose foundation day falls on November 1.
2. An unveiling of a new official logo for Delhi — signalling its governance, identity and aspirations.
3. Cultural performances, projection-mapping on the Red Fort façade, light shows and a platform for students and young talent (through National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), etc).
According to officials, the Delhi government is using the occasion to bring together a broader celebration of cultural diversity and unity.
For Delhi residents and visitors alike, it promises to be a memorable evening.
