From New York to Gurugram: A Sweet Legacy

Founded in 1996 on Bleecker Street in Manhattan’s West Village, Magnolia Bakery gained cult status for its nostalgic American desserts, especially its famed Banana Pudding, as well as cupcakes, cakes, ice cream, and more. With this new outlet, the bakery brings that same warm, homey vibe and hand-crafted sweetness to Delhi NCR.

Since Spago Foods first brought Magnolia Bakery to India in 2019, the brand has steadily grown its footprint — with 11 outlets now operating in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. The Gurugram store is not just another city launch; it’s Magnolia’s first foray into North India and signals a broader push into the NCR region.

To cater to Indian tastes, Magnolia India has developed a special eggless dessert range — a nod to dietary preferences in the market. Magnolia Bakery India plans to deepen its presence in the NCR, with this Gurugram store touted as “the first of many to come.”

Apart from continuing growth in existing markets, the brand is eyeing newer cities like Chennai and Pune in the next two to three years.
