Delhi-NCR’s sustainable mobility landscape is getting a major boost with the arrival of Green SM, a Vietnam-based electric mobility company that has officially launched its electric taxi service in the region. The company marked its entry into the Indian market by deploying an initial fleet of 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs), offering commuters a new eco-friendly transportation option.

The launch makes India the latest addition to Green SM’s growing international presence, following successful operations in Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines. With a focus on premium electric mobility, the company aims to cater to the rising demand for clean, comfortable, and reliable urban transportation in Delhi-NCR.

A New Electric Travel Option for Delhi-NCR:

Green SM has begun operations across key areas of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, with plans to expand its service coverage in phases. The company says future growth will be driven by commuter demand and market response.

The fleet launch was flagged off at the Delhi Secretariat by Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Transport Minister Pankaj Singh. The introduction of 1,000 electric taxis is expected to strengthen the region’s transition toward greener mobility solutions while providing commuters with an alternative to conventional ride-hailing services.

Green SM enters the Indian market at a time when demand for electric transportation is steadily increasing. The company is positioning itself in the premium electric cab segment, an area that has seen growing interest from environmentally conscious commuters.

With fully electric vehicles, Green SM aims to deliver a quieter, cleaner, and more sustainable travel experience while contributing to reduced vehicular emissions in one of India’s busiest urban regions.

With 1,000 EVs already on the roads and plans for rapid expansion, Green SM’s entry could play an important role in shaping the future of eco-friendly transportation in Delhi-NCR.
