Bharat Rang Mahotsav (BRM) 2025, regarded as the biggest theatrical festival in the world, was formally inaugurated on 28th January at the National School of Drama (NSD) campus in Mandi House, New Delhi.
The 20-day event will take place from January 28, 2025, to February 16, 2025. In addition to 13 Indian towns, it will have an impact on theatre in Nepal and Sri Lanka. BRM is extending its worldwide reach for the first time in an effort to encourage cross-cultural engagement and involvement. For those who enjoy theatre, this festival's many events, including more than 200 theatrical productions, talks, and masterclasses, will be an amazing experience.
Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2025:
Traditional, folk, contemporary, and international theatrical performances will come together in a spectacular way at BRM 2025. 11 Indian cities—Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bathinda, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Delhi, Goa, Gorakhpur, Jaipur, Khairagarh, and Ranchi—will host these concerts.
Furthermore, the festival will broaden its global scope and establish itself in Kathmandu, Nepal, and Colombo, Sri Lanka. In Delhi, there will be a number of concurrent events, such as student street plays, folk music, open mics, etc.
Although giving Indian theatre artists a stage has been the main goal of the Bharat Rang Mahotsav since its founding in 1999, it has also developed into a knowledge-sharing platform that offers a wealth of interesting experiences.
