In a vibrant celebration of womanhood, heritage, and cultural unity, the Delhi Government is set to host a three-day Teej Mahotsav. This first-of-its-kind event in the capital city is designed especially for women and families, blending traditional festivities with modern innovations.

The Teej Mahotsav is being organized under the leadership of Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, with a vision to turn Delhi into a hub of family-friendly cultural tourism. The focus of this Teej celebration is to offer a safe, vibrant, and interactive space for women, while showcasing the rich traditions of India’s monsoon festivals.

According to a government statement, the event will have more than 100 stalls, with 80 of them devoted to traditional handicrafts and handlooms and 25 presenting a variety of traditional cuisines from throughout the nation.

Traditional contests like bindi decorating, rangoli making, and mehndi design will give women and young girls a stage to showcase their artistic abilities. To ensure that everyone in the family can take part in the celebrations, a special kids' area will also be set up, complete with storytelling sessions, magic shows, and educational and recreational activities.

To further brighten the event, a Teej quiz and slogan writing contest will be held. Cash rewards of Rs 3,000 for first place, Rs 2,000 for second, and Rs 1,500 for third place will be up for grabs for participants.

When: 25th - 27th July.

Where: Dilli Haat, Pitampura, New Delhi.
