This weekend, Indian Ocean, the country's original fusion rock band, will play live in Delhi. They have established a distinctive style by fusing rock, jazz, and other genres with Indian traditional music. The band has been at the forefront of the Indian music industry since its foundation in 1990, consistently pushing the envelope and creating new things. Without a doubt, we would not want to miss the band's iconic performances.
Among their best-selling albums are Desert Rain, Jhini, and Kandisa. Additionally, their music has appeared in a number of films, such as Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday and the critically acclaimed Masaan. There is a lot to anticipate at this performance, including "Bandeh" and an unplanned "Ankhiyan Udeek Diya."
In April of last year, their eagerly awaited album ‘Tu Hai’ was published, demonstrating their ongoing development and influence on the Indian music landscape. The album covers a variety of sounds and styles and includes collaborations with gifted artists.
For their innovative music, Indian Ocean has won multiple honours and recognitions, including the GIMA Award for Best Fusion Album and the MTV Immies Award for Best Rock Album.
When: 5th April.
Where: The Piano Man New Delhi (Eldeco Centre), Delhi.
