Delhi is set to witness one of the most vibrant cultural showcases of the year as the Saras Aajeevika Mela 2025 returns to the capital. The event is a grand confluence of craft, culture, cuisine, and community empowerment. With free entry for visitors, the mela is designed to be inclusive, festive, and enriching for all.

Organized by the Ministry of Rural Development with support from the Ministry of Culture, the Saras Aajeevika Mela is not just an exhibition—it is a movement. It empowers rural artisans, especially women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs), by providing them direct access to urban markets. This aligns with India’s vision of “Vocal for Local” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat”, helping transform traditional skills into sustainable livelihoods.

Visitors can expect to see stalls filled with handmade textiles, intricate handicrafts, organic products, home décor items, and eco-friendly innovations, each telling the story of India’s diverse cultural legacy.

The 2025 edition in Delhi comes after a highly successful mela earlier this year in Noida, which featured 450+ SHG participants and drew massive footfall. Delhi’s event promises to be even bigger, with hundreds of stalls and live food courts showcasing India’s richness.

Daily performances light up the stage with folk dances, traditional music, and regional theatre. From Rajasthan’s Kalbelia to Assam’s Bihu and Punjab’s Gidda, visitors can immerse themselves in India’s performing arts, all in one venue.

Whether you’re a shopper, a foodie, a culture enthusiast, or someone looking for a family outing, this mela has something for everyone.

When: 5th – 22nd September 2025.

Where: Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, India Gate, New Delhi.
