Anyone who loves South Indian food dearly must have heard about Avartana, one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants that has glorified Indian cuisine globally. The fifth and newest outlet of the restaurant recently opened at ITC Maurya, Delhi and it is a must visit.

The flagship restaurant first opened in 2017 at ITC Grand Chola in Chennai and ever since, it has expanded to other cities in India like Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. The restaurant is even present at international locations like Colombo.

The fifth and newest outlet of Avartana at ITC Maurya, Delhi is here to give you a taste of authentic South India flavours with a modern touch. At the restaurant, diners can pick between the seven course Maya, nine course Bela, eleven course Jiaa or the thirteen course Anika or Tara. Each of these degustation have a mix of small bites, mains and starters.

The highlight of the meal is the guided explanation of each dish at the table by the hospitable staff and the fact that everything from the décor to food, menu, cocktails and even the cutlery embody a tradition-meets-modernity vibe.

The restaurant takes a humble vegetables like bottle gourd and bitter gourd, not liked by many and turns them into delicious spaghettis, sauces and pickles that will blow your mind.
