A major milestone for NCR’s rapidly expanding infrastructure is just around the corner. The long-awaited Noida International Airport in Jewar is now inching towards its final approvals, with strong indications that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may inaugurate the airport on December 15.
For residents, travellers, businesses and commuters from Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr and western Uttar Pradesh, this marks the beginning of a new era in regional connectivity.
According to officials associated with the project, the airport has successfully completed major security and operational inspections. The next set of clearances—primarily from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)—are expected shortly.
The Noida International Airport is set to redefine air travel for millions of people across the region. Developed over 1,300+ hectares and designed by globally acclaimed architects, the airport’s Phase 1 includes:
A 3,900-metre runway ready for commercial operations.
A modern terminal with energy-efficient architecture.
A multi-modal transport hub connecting the airport to expressways and future metro lines.
Extensive cargo facilities expected to transform regional logistics.
With final approvals nearly done and infrastructure ready, all eyes are now on the expected December 15 inauguration. Once flights begin, this airport will reshape the travel landscape for the entire region.
