
According to a release, Newsweek and Statista have ranked the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi as the 97th best hospital in the world in their 2024 list of the World's Best Hospitals.
The excellence of AIIMS Delhi in providing millions of people with affordable treatment, promoting medical research, and delivering high-quality healthcare is highlighted by this esteemed award. Since its founding in 1956, AIIMS Delhi has been a leader in India's healthcare system, known for its cutting-edge facilities and highly qualified medical staff. Its ranking in the top 100 highlights this position.
The international list also included two more Indian hospitals. The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh came in at number 228 and Medanta-The Medicity in Gurgaon at number 146.
India's rising prominence in healthcare is demonstrated by the presence of these Indian hospitals in the worldwide ranking. As AIIMS Delhi, Medanta, and PGIMER maintain their excellent standards, they strengthen the country's capacity to provide top-notch healthcare.
The Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic in the United States are at the top of the 2024 list, followed by Toronto General in Canada and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden completes the top five.
