Delhi will host the nation's first E-Waste Eco Park in a historic move that could revolutionise urban sustainability in India. This ambitious initiative, which is situated in Holambi Kalan, Narela, intends to manage the enormous amount of electronic garbage that the Capital has to deal with while also transforming it into a green economic engine that creates jobs, lowers environmental risks, and promotes circular industrial practices.

The park, which spans 11.4 acres, will serve as a focal point for recycling scientific e-waste, recovering precious metals, processing plastic, and repairing electronic equipment. For manufacturers, recyclers, and users of electrical products, it will be a one-stop shop.

Key Facilities Planned:

1. E-waste dismantling & segregation units

2. Plastic and metal recovery units

3. Refurbishment & resale market for electronics

4. Second-hand electronics retail space

5. Training centre for workers in the informal sector

6. Research lab for testing and innovation

7. Collection and logistics support centres

Crucially, the eco park will lessen Delhi's dependency on hazardous informal processing, which at the moment leads to uncontrolled disposal, air and soil pollution, and major health hazards for unskilled workers, frequently children.

An optimistic future where economic opportunity and environmental responsibility coexist is symbolised by Delhi's soon-to-be E-Waste Eco Park. It is a daring move in the direction of a safer, cleaner, and more sustainable urban India.
