A dedicated electric bus service between Delhi and Lucknow has been launched by GreenCell Mobility's electric intercity bus brand, NueGo. This action demonstrates the company's plan to expand its network and improve connectivity in northern India.
The infrastructure for environmentally friendly public transit is being improved by the INR 999 service. The journey, which takes around 10 hours and covers more than 500 kilometres, shows how battery electric buses are becoming more and more capable of operating dependably over extended distances.
A smooth trip is ensured by the Delhi–Lucknow route's frequent charging stations and verified range of more than 250 km per charge. Every bus undergoes 25 safety evaluations before deployment, including mechanical and electrical tests, indicating a commitment to safety on par with that of conventional fuel-based fleets.
The buses are pleasant thanks to features like air suspension, geolocation tracking, and computerised systems for passenger updates on board. The company has put passenger welfare and physical enjoyment first with efforts like airport-style lounges at certain terminals and a dedicated customer app.
Importantly, NueGo's continuous emphasis on gender-neutral safety features like GPS-based tracking, CCTV monitoring, driver breathalyser testing, and designated "Pink Seats" boosts trust in public transit.
NueGo’s Delhi–Lucknow service marks a pivotal leap in India’s journey toward sustainable transport.
