Due to extensive runway repairs and upgrades, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has announced that all aircraft departing from Terminal 2 will relocate to Terminal 1 as of April 15.

The action is an aspect of T2's efforts to improve passenger experience and upgrade infrastructure. Travel advisories have been issued by airlines, advising customers to check their current schedules as runway construction may cause delays or rescheduling.

IndiGo Airlines, Air India, and Akasa Air are among the major Indian airlines that have indicated that, effective on April 15, until further notice, all flights that were previously scheduled to depart from Terminal 2 (T2) will now depart from Terminal 1 (T1).

"Delhi Terminal 2 is going under maintenance, resulting in all flights being moved to Terminal 1 starting April 15, 2025," the carrier stated. IndiGo also stated that a complete list of reassigned flights will be posted on its website and that customers will receive notifications of the changes via email and WhatsApp.

In order to prevent confusion or delays, passengers departing from Delhi on 15 April are encouraged to verify their terminal information beforehand and arrive early.
