Delhi is all set to celebrate its Foundation Day with grandeur and pride this year. To mark the special occasion, Education Minister Ashish Sood announced that a mega cultural event will be organised at the iconic Red Fort on November 1. The event aims to celebrate the heritage, diversity, and achievements of the national capital, bringing together people from all walks of life.
Minister Sood shared that the celebration will highlight the essence of Delhi, a city that has been the heart of India’s history, culture, and progress for centuries. The event will feature a vibrant line-up of folk dances, music performances, art displays, and theatre acts representing Delhi’s multifaceted identity. Schools and colleges from across the city are also expected to participate, showcasing student performances inspired by Delhi’s glorious past and dynamic present.
A special attraction of the event will be the food and craft stalls, offering visitors a taste of Delhi’s famous street food and traditional cuisines, from Chandni Chowk’s chaat to Purani Dilli’s kebabs and sweets. The craft section will spotlight local artisans and weavers, promoting Delhi’s traditional handicrafts and handlooms.
Beyond cultural festivities, the event will also display Delhi’s achievements in education, innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability through exhibitions and digital showcases.
