Delhi’s iconic Amrit Udyan, the lush and historic garden nestled behind Rashtrapati Bhavan, is all set to open its gates to visitors for its Summer Annuals from August 16 to September 14, 2025. This seasonal opening offers a rare opportunity for the public to stroll through one of India’s most beautifully maintained gardens, blending Mughal charm, British landscaping, and innovative new features each year.
This year, visitors can expect a refreshing new lineup of attractions:
- Babbling Brook – A serene new water feature with a gentle stream, sculptural spouts, stepping stones, and a raised reflecting pool. It replaces last year’s musical fountain and promises a more tranquil, nature-inspired experience.
- Banyan Grove – A shaded green retreat offering reflexology paths, Panchtatva trails, and a forest-like ambience designed for sensory relaxation.
- Herbal & Plumeria Garden – Bursting with fragrant blooms, mounded grass beds, and well-curated medicinal plants, perfect for slow, mindful walks.
Alongside these new features, regular favourites such as the Bal Vatika, Bonsai Garden, Long Garden, Central Lawn, and Circular Garden remain open for exploration.
A walk through Amrit Udyan is more than just a visual treat—it’s an immersion into Delhi’s heritage and biodiversity. Every path is meticulously landscaped, every flower bed thoughtfully curated, and every water feature designed to offer peace in the midst of a bustling city.
