A unique Master of Science (Research) program in "Healthcare Technology" has been introduced by the Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.

Beginning in January 2025, the new program has been designed for clinical workers in the medical and associated fields. It fosters deep-tech advancements in healthcare by fusing engineering disciplines with medical concepts.

According to a press release from IIT Delhi, the MS (Research) in Healthcare Technology is distinctive due to its strong project-centric methodology, which guarantees that students obtain practical experience with real-world applications.

This program's flexibility, which allows medical professionals to maintain their clinical practice while studying, is one of its main advantages. This method guarantees that students may use what they have learnt to improve patient care right away by coming up with creative ideas. In addition to preparing students for scientific research in academic and industrial contexts, the program's core topics and laboratory courses are designed to impart skills relevant to the industry.

The program will offer high-value fellowships and compensation to students, making it financially competitive with entry-level jobs for recent medical graduates.

Interested candidates may apply online until October 25, 2024.
