The picturesque valley of Kashmir has welcomed the first snowfall of the season, bringing a serene blanket of white over its mountains, valleys, and iconic landscapes. This early snowfall, which began late on Saturday evening, has already transformed popular destinations like Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg into a winter wonderland.
Tourism officials are optimistic that the early snowfall will boost winter tourism. Gulmarg, renowned for its skiing slopes and snow activities, has already seen an increase in bookings as adventure enthusiasts gear up for the season. Hotels and guesthouses across the valley are preparing to welcome visitors who want to experience the magic of Kashmir in its snowy glory.
Meadows, pine forests, rooftops, and slopes were all lightly blanketed with snow by the new spell, which gave the resort a tranquil air. According to Meteorological Department officials, a western disturbance that passed over north Kashmir caused the snowfall, which was seasonal in nature.
With the winter season officially underway, authorities have also advised residents to prepare for colder days ahead, stock essential supplies, and take precautions against frostbite and cold-related ailments.
Kashmir’s first snowfall of the season is a reminder of the valley’s enchanting charm, drawing travelers and nature lovers to witness the magic of its winter transformation.
