On the first day of the Ranji Trophy Group D encounter against Railways, thousands of cricket fans flocked to the Arun Jaitley Stadium to watch the Delhi star, Virat Kohli in action, showcasing his aura.
Kohli's occasional appearance in the red-ball league transformed what would have been simply another home match into a spectacle. Since word leaked out about his involvement, excitement had been building. Fans from all across the city flocked to the stadium to see their hometown hero, and the tight streets around the stadium were a hive of activity.
There was none of the typical scene of empty stands at home games. Fans were allowed free entry, and all they needed was an Aadhaar card. In anticipation of seeing Kohli play in the Delhi colours, which hasn't happened very often in recent years, fans flocked in large numbers.
These supporters were from the bordering states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan in addition to the NCR.
If you missed out, don’t worry you can still get to see a glimpse of him till 3rd February!
