In 37 Indian cities, including Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Bhubaneswar, Uber launched the Uber for Teens service. For Indian youths between the ages of 13 and 17, it provides easy and safe transportation choices.

The device features real-time tracking, GPS tracking, an in-app emergency button, and parental control over booked rides. Parents must first register a Teens account in order to track their children and make ride requests on their behalf. By allowing parents to monitor the rides their adolescents have booked, it will boost their sense of security and confidence.

Parents who have a verified Uber account can invite their adolescent children to sign up for the app. The teen can then put their parents on as guardians and make their own account.

Interesting Fact: The service was first made available in the United States in 2023, and it subsequently spread to other nations.

Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India and Uber South Asia said, “We recognize the unique transportation challenges faced by teenagers and their families in India. With Uber for Teens, we are committed to addressing these challenges by providing a service that parents can trust, and that teens will find easy and cool to use.”
