
According to NDMC vice chairman Kuljeet Chahal, the NDMC plans to renovate Khan Market in Lutyens Delhi to make it more visually pleasing and pedestrian-friendly.
In order to increase cleanliness, NDMC has already started a number of measures to overhaul the market, beginning with the introduction of night cleaning and wet scrubbing.
The improvements will include:
1. Top-notch carved granite block flooring
2. PU (polyurethane) and epoxy coating on nearby roads
3. Upgraded public convenience blocks
4. Ducts in the middle lane to accommodate electric cables, water and gas pipelines
5. Standardised signs and carpets for shopfront aesthetics.
